Any is used in negative sentences but they are not negative themselves.
No vi nada- I saw nothing (positive verb and negated object) OR I didn´t see anything. (negated verb and positive object)
(I didn´t see nothing- INCORRECT)
DOUBLE/TWO NEGATIVES in English- INCORRECT
No veo nada- I don´t see anything OR I see nothing.
